Singapore, hot and sweaty under the bright lights, one of the toughest races on the F1 calendar, the drivers can lose up to 4kg of body weight during the race and undergo special training to acclimatise to the conditions.
It’s also a tight street circuit with unforgiving walls on both sides which have claimed the pride of plenty of drivers over the years, and in 2017 the start lights had only just gone out when there was drama between Vettel, Verstappen and Raikkonen causing carnage down the rest of the grid before they even made the first turn.
In 2018, Lewis Hamilton put together probably the best lap of the year during qualifying. The video speaks for itself, this is what an F1 car can do!
This year Ferrari are expected to struggle leaving Red Bull with a great chance of a decent result along with Mercedes, a few of the teams like McLaren that struggle on the fast flowing tracks are anticipating Singapore to be better for them. Maybe meme lord himself Lando Norris can pick up a career best which he just missed out two races ago in Belgium when his car broken down one lap before the end. The race takes place on Sunday 22nd September.
